NIST is an established accredited international baccalaureate school in Bangkok with pupils attending from 3-18 years of age. Situated between Nana and Asoke on Soi 15 Sukhumvit, NIST is an excellent choice for any parent looking for a high standard of education for their children whilst living in lower Sukhumvit.

Bangkok International Preparatory and Secondary School (Bangkok Prep.)
Commonly referred to as Bangkok Prep., and officially ordained by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in June 2006, this school is now in its 11th year of operation. Bangkok Prep. is regarded as one of Bangkok’s finest schools and follows the National Curriculum of England and Wales. Students are expected to undertake a rigorous IGCSE program and Cambridge approved A Levels in preparation towards a full-time university education. Bangkok Prep. may also be one of Bangkok’s most conveniently located schools being adjacent to Thong Lor BTS in the heart of Sukhumvit. St. Andrews
St. Andrews International School has a few campuses around Bangkok. The campus on Soi 71 Sukhumvit was founded in 1997. As of 2011 St. Andrews was home to more than 650 pupils ranging from Nursery (2 years of age) to 18+. Students follow the British curriculum IGSCE course and in years 12-13 the school also offers the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme.
Wells International School
Wells is another international school comprising of 3 different campuses around Bangkok. Wells Thong Lor, Wells On Nut and Wells Bangna. Wells can offer an American and IB university-preparatory curriculum to all its students from kindergarten through to high school. Founded in 1999, Wells serves over 750 students representing a diverse intake of over 28 different nationalities. The Thong Lor kindergarten campus serves nursery to grade 2. The Bang Na kindergarten campus serves nursery to k3 and the international school at On Nut servers grades 1 through to 12.
Ekkamai International School
Ekkamai International School was founded and is run by the Seventh-day Adventist Mission in Thailand. This is a non-profit co-educational school originally established as a church in 1946. Although the school mainly comprises of Thai students from the local community, there are still over 33 nationalities from different backgrounds represented in the student body and all are taught through the medium of English.
Bankok Patana School
Located at Sukhumvit 105, Bangkok Patana School is Thailand’s original British International School. Providing education for over 2,200 students from over 65 different counties, the school follows the British National Curriculum up to Year 11 and the International Baccalaureate scheme in Years 12 and 13.

The choice of schools in the Sukhumvit area is seemingly endless. The prices can also be very high in most of them as some international schools charge registration fees and other fees such as lunch, transport and uniforms. All fees need to be taken into consideration. However, if you look around enough it should not be too difficult to find the perfect school solution for your children.
